Sabathia for Sizemore vetoable?

Postby bennyz » Mon Apr 27, 2009 8:46 pm

10 team H2H 12 cat league, 4 keeper league

The perennial bottom dweller in the league offered up his G Sizemore for CC Sabathia. The other team is a consistent top 3 team every year. I think this may be borderline on a veto. What are you thoughts?

DL Vlad Guerrero
BN Jose Lopez, M Jacobs, P Burrell

Not even close.

Two players among the top at their positions. Can't argue with that.

I avoided CC like the plague in all of my leagues this year due to the huge amount of innings he threw last year, and him moving to the Yankees, who never seem to do well with FA pitchers, and I like Sizemore. But I still don't think that this is anywhere near vetoable.

Your post presented no evidence that there is collusion going on. There should be a sticky in this forum explaining that most posters here will tell you that collusion is about the only reason a trade should be vetoed.

The trade, while a dumb one in my book, is very allowable.

The second to last paragraph of this article is fantastic: http://www.crookedpitch.com/691/trade-them-if-you-can/

why would that be vetoable? I'd love to hear your argument.

The team with CC is stacked at pitching yet is starting the ridiculously bad Nyjer Morgan (just wait). The guy with Sizemore is sitting good hitters on his bench and desperately needs solid starting pitching.

No valid argument that this trade should be vetoed.

No veto. One hitting stud and one pitching stud. Good fit for both teams. That one gets vetoed, time to find a new league.
