3 weeks in...so far so good..

Postby JagATC » Mon Apr 27, 2009 4:45 pm

So far so good. I'm in first place in my 10 team, 5x5 roto league with standard scoring. My pitching staff is pitching out of their minds. A couple of my early picks for hitters are struggling.

And can somone explain how I'm 3rd in BA, leading in HR, yet in the bottom half in RBI.

Should I go with it for the time being, or how could I insure my team staying at the top?

C - Yadier Molina (we only start 1 C and I drafted Ianetta)
1B - Miggy Cabrera
2B- Brian Roberts

It looks like your Phil Hughes pick is prescient.

I like the great depth of your starting pitching. Mike Hampton will cool down, but that won't harm your rotation a bit. A league with huge rosters like yours is harder for me to evaluate, but your offense certainly looks solid.

I actually have a question for you: how did you fill your two extra IF spots in the draft? I had to scramble late in the draft and the waiver wire to fill those positions. I have Marco Scutaro (hot start) and Edwin Encarnacion, which isn't exactly the best thing.

What is your valued opinion on my team: viewtopic.php?t=379613

Let's see....I took Miggy as my first pick at 1B. Adrian was there in the 4th round so I grabbed him as a DH or CI. Brian Roberts was my 2B pick in I believe the 3rd round. I think I took a stretch on Stephen Drew and drafted him too early, but I did draft him as my SS. Ryan Theriot was there late in the draft so I took him as my MI and to maybe shore up som SB's. Mike Jacobs was a free agent pick up. Any Yunel was still available late in the draft, so I drafted him just knowing that he was an everyday SS.

Does that answer your question?

Really solid team, not many weak spots. Just keep an eye on Chris Davis, if he starts hitting you will be a force to be reckoned with.
