From what I know, you can't catch swine flu by eating pork.
While we're on the subject of pork, I had some salt-and-pepper pork chops the other night. It's pork chop marinated in a salt and pepper rub, very lightly battered, and deep fried for a short while and finished with a sauteed green pepper, onion, and chili pepper garnish. Awesome.
The swine flu outbreak in Mexico may be considerably smaller than originally feared, test results released there on Friday indicate. Of 908 suspected cases that were tested, only 397 people turned out to have the virus, officially known as influenza A(H1N1), Mexican health officials reported at a news conference. Of those, 16 people have died.
“Apparently the rate of infection is not as widespread as we might have thought,”
"I do not think baseball of today is any better than it was 30 years ago... I still think Radbourne is the greatest of the pitchers." John Sullivan 1914-Old athletes never change.
Damn. I think this might hamper the chances that Swine Flu: The Movie will make it to theaters. Apocolyptic feature of the week on Sci-Fi (Syfy?) is the best we can hope for.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
