Gardner for Ziegler?(WHIR)

Postby kidsilk » Mon Apr 27, 2009 1:13 pm

AL only, 10 team 23 man rosters, 5x5 roto style, 7 keepers with 3 year contracts.

I have been offered Brett Gardner for my Brad Ziegler. Now, I need the speed but I need the wins and k's more so I might counter with ZIegler for a starter but not sure. Is Gardner's speed worth adding to my team to get rid of one of my 4 closers?

My Team:

C-Morales
C-Zaun
1B-MCab
2B-J. Lopez
SS-M. Itzturis
3B-Bautista

You need help on your pitching more than you need steals imo.
Your ace is James Shields and he is having a meh kind of year so far.
I would keep Ziegler for now.
Try to move Torii Hunter while he is on fire.

I was also just offered Rick Porcello for Scott Downs. Is this a better deal for me or should I just stay put for now?

I would do this. You can always find closers on the waivers while speed is harder. Gardner is a decent plug in and it doesn't seem like he is going anywhere anytime soon. pull the trigger.

please help

I would not do this. I would look in the WW for speedsters such as Josh Anderson, I would try to upgrade your pitching staff using Ziegler. I think Ziegler is worth more than Gardner

Help??
