Trade for Hamels? WHIR

Postby SumG » Mon Apr 27, 2009 11:23 am

Should I trade Ibanez, Wainwright, and R.Franklin for Hamels and Span?

I also have Bell and Francisco for closers, so losing Franklin isn't going to leave me short on saves.

IMO you are giving way too much. Wainwright is very good and Ibanez is going to put up great numbers with that lineup in that ballpark, and Franklin looks solid. Also, Span is a free agent in two of my leagues.

This is a tough one. It's a pretty even trade as Franklin is the closer for NOW in STL...who knows who it will be in a month or 2...

So, based on that merit, it's Hamels & Span vs. Wainwright & Ibanez. Personally I think Hamels will bounce back, but I think you might be overpaying for him a little in this trade. Wainwright has been pretty good and Ibanez is WAY better than Span right now.

IMO, Hamels is a very nice buy-low candidate...I think you could get him for less

thanks for the help with mine

If I had Hamels, I probably wouldn't make the deal. I hate selling low on my guys, but if you can get Hamels with Wainwright and Ibanez, I would do it. Hamels is an elite SP when he is right. I don't think your overpaying.

I wouldn't trade wainwright for Hamels str8 up let alone packaged with two startable guys, one if which is a yahoo top 20 ranked player.

Hamels pitched 220 innings last year and i predicted he would have injury issues this year and have been right so far.

don't do that trade, wainwright is a a pimp

please help me
