Why isn't Lidge closing this game out?

Yes, I"d like to know as well. I've been waiting for Lidge to show up all season and they finally get in a save position and he's nowhere to be seen?? Is he hoping to end the season with a total of about 10 innings pitched??
Anyone have info here?

I don't know but he didn't pitch yesterday so it wasn't because he needed rest. Either he wasn't at the ballpark for some reason or he must be hurting in some way that he couldn't pitch. I'm sure the news will be posted shortly somewhere.

In the closers thread, someone speculated it might be cuz the game didnt turn into a save situation till 2 outs in the 8th. And by that time, lidge may not have had enough time to warm up. thats just speculation for now...

Lidge was in the pen. He had his jacket on out there when Madson was closing it out.
