Volquez plays for the Reds.

2006 - Arroyo, very good, 2007 when I drafted him, sucked extremely bad.
2007 - Harang, very good, 2008 when I drafted him, sucked extremely bad.
Lesson to be learned - never draft another Reds pitcher again.

Ok, thanks for letting us know. So since Harang has turned it around this season, Volquez will do it next season. Thanks for the protip.

I never drafted a Reds pitcher prior to last season. So they didnt suck for me.
Voltron plays for the Reds, and I drafted him 2008 and did not suck for me.
Lesson learned. Never draft a Reds pitcher, and they never suck for me, or draft Voltron and he wont suck for me.

After his fantastic start yesterday, I think the stats Volquez has now is what he'll have at the end of the year. About a mid 4's ERA, a high WHIP, and bunches of K's. He's keeping the hits down to a ridiculous rate right now (BAA. 192 AND BABIP .224), but I also think the control will get better. His BB/9 isn't going to stay at close to 7, last year and with the Rangers it was around 4.

I had him projected at 200 IP, 200 K, 4 ERA, 1.4 WHIP so that sounds about right to me. Lots of ups and downs during the year for him too I'm sure since he tends to walk so many.
