Stick with him. There's a great chance he gets traded to a contender and will hit the last couple months in the middle of a fat lineup. All will be right with the world.

Common people, it is not time to panic yet. We all expect his number will drop a bit but he will still hit over .300 and hit over 20 HR. He is a good hitter and he will figure this out. Holiday is the kind of player that you can't drop and just have to hold on to him. Besides who can you trade for at this point. No one is going to give you anyone good for him. Be patient guys.

You made a great trade! Halladay is a top 5 SP while Holliday will be good, but nothing spectacular.

As I mentioned, I dropped Holliday on my cheat sheet when he dealt to Oakland. Before the trade he was a top tier outfielder, after I had him ranked as the 9th best in baseball. I would have taken him 4th round. I think he will still hit for a nice average, however he will not hit a significant amount of homers, he won't score a lot of runs (the A's offense is non existent) and I highly doubt he will come close to 28 steals again. In my 12 team draft Holliday was taken ahead of Matt Kemp and Manny which is insane.

Ahead of manny may have been a little out there, but Kemp is understandable.

Good deal for you, esp. since you needed the open roster spot and didn't have to drop anybody.
Looking forward to back to back championships in 2011!

I read something earlier today, I think it was an ESPN article, that suggested his numbers at the end of the season would be be 20+ HR, 80 RBI and a .280 BA. However, I think it was written by one of their writers that I think might be on sloshed given some of his off the wall advice the last couple weeks. Still it seems unlikely he'll match his draft day value.

Bad trade...
B-Chad wrote:Pedroia's LD rate of 20% is reason to believe he'll maintain a higher BA then Cano. It should also be noted he hits more FB's then Cano, which means that even if he posts a lower HR/FB then Cano, he should come in reasonably close to Cano in HR's
