Jeter/Francisco/Hanrahan for Rollins/Fowler. WHIR

Postby mac-unit » Sun Apr 26, 2009 5:46 pm

I sent an email to the Fowler owner asking who he would want for him then he sent me this trade, my Jeter/Francisco/Hanrahan for his Rollins/Fowler. I don't know if I want to punt saves but I think I can handle it(this week I won 5 of 6 pitchings cats-lost Ks. Last week won 4 of 6-lost Ws and SVs) And I put up good enough AVG, OBP, R and SB numbers to win them. So I think I'd have a legit chance at 11 of the 12 cats. My worries are that Rollins will never go back to his 06-07 numbers and I am overpaying for his name.

And I kept Jeter and he Kept Rollins so comparing when the player was drafted this season doesn't effect the decision. Also, Fowler and Rollins would be keepers for me and I don't like to keep closers so Francisco and Hanrahan are not definite keepers.

Keeper 20 Team H2H 6x6(OBP and HLD). We kept 6 this past year. We keep 12 the end of this year.

You are giving up all your saves, but if you are willing to do that then it is a great deal for you. Rollins will not hit 30 bombs again but he will return to form, it is still early. Rolllins is a stud and will be one at the end of the year. If you really don't care about losing your only legit saves option in Francisco, then I would pull the trigger.

Rollins is already an elite power/speed guy and Fowler is headed that way (in Coors no less), those guys are hard to find. Any help appreciated

Rollins is not going to return to 2006-2007 form. Ever.

Would you punt saves just to get Shane Victorino? Because that's the kind of player Jimmy Rollins is.

Last year was the 'real' Jimmy Rollins--he returned to his 2001-2005 form. Still a valuable fantasy player, but it's a joke to put him in the class of Chase Utley or Miguel Cabrera.

Bad deal for you. Don't do it.

I agree, awful deal for you. You should be buying low for Rollins right now. Based on that deal, you'd think the guy was hitting .350 with 10 steals. Don't do it.

Help?
