10 teams 5x5 H2H

C Brandon Inge
1B Carlos Pena
2B Ian Kinsler
3B Aramis Ramirez
SS Jhonny Peralta
LF Matt Holliday
CF Grady Sizemore
RF Hunter Pence
Utl Carlos Quentin
Bn Denard Span

Sp Roy Halladay
Sp Scott Kazmir
Rp Scott Downs
Rp Ryan Franklin
P Fernando Rodney
P Derek Lowe
P Josh Johnson
Bn Jordan Zimmermann
Bn Jon Lester
Bn Mark Buerhle
Bn Kyle Loshe

ok, so with guys not hitting, and injuries, lopez fits my team perfectly with all the positions he plays (2nd, 3rd, ss, and lf) plus his speed is something i really want. my problem is that, he only pitcher i have worth dropping is zimmermann, and he just pitched another beauty today, and span is hitting well. and he plays all three OF positions.

I'd drop Buerhle. He's only good for wins. Otherwise his peripherals are pretty mediocre.

I guess if you don't want to drop those guys the next best candidate in my eyes is Rodney. I don't see him holding the closer spot in Detroit all year long

Don't drop Buehrle! How can anybody say his peripherals aren't good? Consistently around a 3.70 era 1.27 whip with 140 k pottential. Not elite but def. worth a spot in any fantasy rotation, def. can't drop him for Lopez. All that said, drop Rodney and then try to move Loshe while his value is up for an upgrade at closer. Here's mine. Please take a look?

That's why I told u to move Loshe, or 1 of your starters for a closer. Rodney sucks and won't keep the job anyway. He's the best drop u have, other then him I think ur giving up too much for Lopez.

Rodney is definitely the most droppable from your team. It'll also allow you to get Lester or Lohse into your lineup. If it ends up hurting too badly to give up the closer, try to move some of your pitching depth for an even better closer. But for now, if you're set on getting Lopez, Rodney is really the only drop I see.

I hate to give up on closers but Rodney has a lot of comp. in Det. If you have to give up a starter it would be Zimmerman. I know he had another good start today but Lohse and Buerhle should be more reliable for the rest of year .

thank for your help

Rodney would be the pick... but try to swindle an upgrade 2 for 1 trade if possible... looks like you have SP to burn.
