If you need a closer, then I think that you should definitely do it. Nathan is an elite closer.

If you keep Kazmir on your roster all season, when you look at your stats at the end of the season, you will hate him for what he does to your WHIP.

I got Kazmir in a yahoo autodraft this year. Before the season started, I traded him straight up for Soria.

Hope this helps.

Help, please....

EDIT: I just reread the thread. I got the trade backwards. You have Nathan now. I wouldn't do the deal for Kazmir.

I would be getting Kazmir for Nathan and Downs not the other way around. I would then have Capps and Hanrahan as my 2 RP with none on bench.

12 Team H2H Keep 2 Batters and 2 Pitchers
C Martin 1B Konerko 2B Phillips 3B Figgins SS Hardy OF Sizemore, Hamilton, Granderson, U Dunn SP Oswalt, Dempster, Wainwright, Greinke, RP Nathan, Downs
Bench 10 any position Dye, Hudson, Duncan, P Buehrle, Masterson, Perkins, Davies, Anthony Reyes, Hanrahan, Capps
DL Escobar, Kuroda

I wouldn't do it. Nathan is a top 3/5 closer in the league. Yes, Kazmir is good but he has controll problems and can kill your WHIP. I am a Kazmir owner in my league and I am looking to trade him. I would pass on the offer!

Welcome to my world. I coveted Kazmir for a couple of seasons and finally got him at last year's auction. He killed me last year with that crappy WHIP. I traded him away in the offseason and I am NOT looking back.

You'd be taking real damage in the saves category, so I would not take the trade.

Yep thats what i'm thinking. Dont think Capps, Hanrahan and whomever I could vulture off WW will be enough.
