Ellsbury steals home!

Horrible series for the Yankees--on their way to getting swept in a series where they should have won 2/3. ;-D :-D

That was awesome. Stealing home is easily my favorite play in baseball and to have Jacoby do it just makes it that much sweeter.

Too cool. I'd love to see that happen live.
I wish mlb.com had better video of the steal though.

Yeah, the odds are against him, obviously, but it wasn't like it was a kneejerk thing. They'd scouted Pettite like everyone has for everyone else. You see the jump he got? Berroa wasn't even in the third base vicinity so Jacoby was basically leading off 1/4 of the way home and just caught Pettite off guard.

It was more like half. You can see the replays on mlb.com; Ellsbury is ahead of Pettite before Pettite throws the ball.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.
