Burn my #2 waiver on Scherzer?? WHIR!!

Postby Chatrain57 » Sat Apr 25, 2009 8:38 pm

Ok, Max Scherzer was just dropped in my league for some dumb reason. I'm really intrigued with the idea of picking him up, but I know that he won't clear waivers, so I won't be able to get him in FA. But, do I try and use my #2 waiver on him? I think that my pitching staff is pretty solid, so Scherzer is not a need for me, just more like gravy. Or, do I hold onto my #2 and use it for someone like Hanson/Weiters/LaPorta when they get called up? Leave me a link, and I'll gladly return the favor. My team and scoring cats are below.

Yeah, I say why not ... you know he is great for the K's and has some experience now, so it's not like you'll be grabbing a guy without upside and massive potential.

I wouldn't use it on him. He is good with tons of potential but the number two waiver wire priority is nice to have for a bigger name. I would wait since your pitching is already pretty good.

please help

I'd be holding out for one the big names coming down the line. Hanson and Wieters are rumored to be called up by the end of May.
