The latest news from Rotowire isn't so optimistic:
Apr 28 Hamilton (ribs) will be further examined by team doctors on Tuesday and could end up on the 15-day DL, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Recommendation: Hamilton was unable to complete a second round of batting practice on Monday. A DL stint would be a bit of a surprise given Texas' outfield depth, especially with David Murphy's bat heating up, but he'll likely miss the next few games at a minimum.

Ugh i hate this kind of injury.
I'd rather it have been a 2-3 weeks out for sure thing than a rib injury that could he could be back in a few days from but be bothered by for months. Although it sounds like he will be DL bound anyway.
I doubt they call up borbon because they don't need a replacement starter, just a bench guy. Cruz/Byrd/Jones/Murphy is plenty to start. I imagine it will be brandon boggs.
