Making a run at Halladay whir

Postby cdawg4343 » Sat Apr 25, 2009 1:35 pm

The Halladay owner in our league has said he is on the block. I'm thinking of going after him, what can I offer? He has been interested in Ethier earlier in the year. He said he was worried to trade Halladay 2 me b/c it would make my pitching staff very strong but to make him an offer. My biggest chip in the deal is an outfielder. 14team H2H 5x5 league. Help me make this happen.
My team:
c. Soto
1b. Howard
2b. Phillips
3b. Reynolds
ss. Jeter
lf. Either
rf. Markakis
cf. McClouth
utl. Holliday
b. Weeks, Bruce
sp. Sabathia, Billingsley, Felix, Dice-k, Maine, Masterson, Sanchez, Hill, Wood
rp. Rivera, Corpas, Motte, Perez, Zumaya

His team:
c. none
1b. Pujols
2b. Callaspo
3b. Cantu
ss. Theriot
Lf. Duncan
cf. Ellisbury
rf. Dye
utl. Morgan
b. figgins
sp. Halladay, Johan, Washburn, Hampton, Davis, Saunders, Gallarraga, Perkins, Lohse, Ohlendorf
rp. Qualls, Wilson, Putz, Hawkins,

Thanks.

^^^my thoughts exactly. Love halladay though...felix + ethier would still be worth it (and pretty fair I'd say.)

I like the DiceK/Ethier deal for Halladay. I'm not sure I'd go as far as Felix and Ethier though. I think Ethier will continue his hot streak and Felix is a quality pitcher himself.

Please help with my post viewtopic.php?t=380901

Thanks for the help with mine!

I would not offer too much because your pitching staff is very solid right now. I agree with the others that Either/Dice-K is a decent offer. I would not go as high as Flex though. See if he bites on the Dice-K offer. If not I think I would stand pat!

Good Luck!

Would you trade Markakis straight up for Halladay?
