2 start pitcher for next week??? WHIR

Postby Guzman24 » Sat Apr 25, 2009 12:42 pm

Was hoping Webb would possibly be back but he's hit another stumbliing block and looks to be out for a while longer.

Are any of these 2 start pitchers worth an add and who would you drop for them?

Bush (PIT/ARZ)
Richmond (KC/BAL)
Wolf (SF/SD)

Or are any of these FA's worth an add:

Maine,Snell,Washburn,ASanchez,Blackburn,Hampton,Looper,Lannan,Parra

This is a 5x5 league with OBP instead of avg so Cust and Konerko carry decent value but i haven't had any luck trading them yet unforunately.

C Baker
1B Howard
2B Utley
3B Figgins
SS Reyes
OF CLee,Kemp,Arbeu
UT Votto
BN McCann,Cust,Konerko

SP Lincecum,JJohnson,Zimmermann
RP Broxton,Francisco
P MGonzalez, JSanchez
BN Jimenez,Marmol,Franklin
DL Webb

Bush had a great game this past time out and Wolf has done quite well for the hot Dodgers. I'm not a fan of Washburn or Snell so I'd probably drop those two guys and grab the 2 2-start pithcers.

I dont have Washburn or Snell, those are other FA options available to pick up.

Sorry, Cust for one or the other (I like Wolf more b/c pitchers park) but it is really a toss up

I think I would pickup Wolf and maybe even take a look at Hampton. He has pitched well for Houston so far. But Bush might be the safer pickup.

Thanks for the help with mine!

I would drop Cust for Wolf. I like that weak division and the offense behind Wolf.

Help me out?

How deep is this league? Redraft or keeper? H2H or roto?

Wolf and Bush are the 2 names that stand out to me. I prefer Wolf a little more. They have similar stories. They've both been "teases" for a while now. Guys with great stuff and promise, still relatively young, but who never seem to put it together. I trust Wolf a little more at this point. Just because I'm not reading too much into Bush's start against the Phillies. When they're in one of their collective hitting slumps, I think that I could even pitch a shutout against them.

Who to drop? How many DL spots so you have? McCann just got DLed, so that could open up a spot. Do you really need 5 closers? I don't just like dropping closers, but if it's H2H you could stand to lose 1. If it's redraft, I'd be fine with dropping Sanchez or Zimmerman (really young guys who will have their struggles on crappy hitting teams).
