In a 12 team mixed h2h total points league, would you deal James Shields and Gallardo for Lincecum? We start 8 pitchers and my staff is pretty sick. Halladay, Haren, Shields, Broxton, Gallardo, Maholm, Marrow, Baker, Slowey, Anibal Sanchez, Masterson...I just feel this trade in a points league makes my staff really top heavy!

That would be a very unwise trade. No one pitcher alone, as good as Lincecum is, is worth two solid aces of Shields' and Gallardo's caliber.

Replace one of those pitchers with someone further down your rotation (Maholm, Baker, Slowey) and I think you have a better place to start.

It really is pretty crazy, and thats coming from a guy who targets Tim Lincecum in every league I enter. (Go Huskies)

Since points are what matter, you have to consider how much you would gain/lose.The two starts a week made by Yovani+Shields are on average going to score more points than Lincecum+Replacement.

I like the idea of maybe going Shields+Maholm and trying to sell high on him while you can.
