Drop Mike Napoli for Aaron Hill or Marco Scutaro?, WHIR

Postby agoodfella » Sat Apr 25, 2009 1:40 am

Here is my team: (non-keeper, 12 team Roto)

C : Pablo Sandoval (C, 1B, 3B) | Mike Napoli
1B : Carlos Pena | Joey Votto
2B : Chase Utley
SS : Jose Reyes
3B : Felipe Lopez (2B, 3B, SS, OF)
OF : Carlos Lee | Raul Ibanez | Andre Ethier | Kosuke Fukodome

SP : Roy Halladay | Jake Peavy | James Shields | Cliff Lee | Armando Galarraga | David Price
RP : Kevin Gregg | George Sherrill | Manny Corpas
DL : John Lackey (SP)
DL : Trevor Hoffman (RP)

I currently have Chase Utley as my 2B starter, however, I don't need 2 catchers, and long term I'm more comfortable going with Pablo (C eligible) over Napoli (esp. since it looks like Napoli is splitting time now).

The thinking is that I'd start Hill or Scutaro as my UTIL / DH though Joey Votto has been doing a decent job of that till now.

I don't know, I'm just thinking through my roster and felt like Napoli was a wasted roster spot and Hill is the best WW guy out there along with Marco Scutaro (the real question is if these guys will start tailing off).

What do you guys think?

Yes
you have enough power + Sandavol will not sit like most catcher due to him playing the IF, Hill will help your average and im even surprised he's even available

I'd do it. For Hill that is. I believe in him ... but not in Scutaro. Unless there's a solid pitcher remaining (since you're so solid at 2B as is).
