Which FA 3B? And who to drop, WHIR

10 team, H2H keeper league. (keep 8).

7x7 w/ the standard 5x5 + OPS, H :: K/9, QS as the extra categories.

Aramis Ramirez is sitting w/ a right calf strain, and I want to be prepared to drop and grab in case the injury is worse than thought.

Here are the available FA in my 10 team league:

M. Teahen (1B/3B/OF)
M. Lowell
C. Blake
C. Headley
S. Rolen
Barden
P. Feliz

I think the best thing to do is either cut J. Upton who has been horrible so far this year. Unless he really turns it on, I don't see him as one of my 8 keepers. Or, the safter move is to cut K. Escobar and move Vlad to my DL spot, opening up one bench spot. Thoughts? I like Teahen because of his 1B/3B/OF ability.

My roster:
C: Baker
1B: Pujols
2B: B. Roberts
3B: Aramis Ramirez
SS: Tulo
OF: Soriano
OF: Cruz
OF: J. Bruce
UTIL: Prince Fielder
BN: A. Hill (2B), J. Upton (OF), M. Ordonez (OF), Vlad Guerrero (OF - DL)

SP: Gallardo
SP: AJ Burnett
RP: M. Gonzalez
RP: M. Scherzer
P: Liriano
P: Bedard
P: Kershaw
BN: D. Price (NA), T. Hanson (NA), Wandy Rodriquez
DL: K. Escobar

;-D Kelvim's on the 60-day DL now. In a 10-team league, that's an easy cut-loose. I like Teahan too. I remember when he came on the fantasy radar a few years ago. The last couple of years were really disappointing. But he's still only 27, and getting a chance to play because of Alex Gordon's injury the motivation is certainly there to play for his life.

Alternatively, Lowell isn't a bad pick-up either. He's going to have tons of guys on-base in front of him all season. The floor is certainly higher with him than for Teahan. Lowell's a professional hitter who will give you 0.280 to 0.300 with 20 HR power and solid run and rbi production.
