Pick up an RP?

Postby gogogadget » Fri Apr 24, 2009 3:55 pm

Morrow and Rodney both just cleared waivers in my ten team standard 5x5 head-to-head league. I have Brian Fuentes and he hasn't been doing too well so far this season and I was thinking about dropping him for one or dropping a SP and just adding another RP. I'm not sure which route to take if any and wanted to ask for some help. I only have two RP, which is why I am thinking about dropping a SP. The problem is, a lot of my SP's are pretty similar and I don't know which one is worth dropping for him. Any help is appreciated.

I think I'd drop jackson before fuentes at this point.

I suggest dropping Edwin Jackson for Morrow. Hang on to Fuentes.

Here's mine: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=380740&p=3047147#p3047147

No, I would not cut Fuentes for either Morrow or Rodney. His skill set is firmly intact and the K/BB ratio is there. Be patient.

That being said, if you wanted to take a chance on a closer, I would pick up Fernando Rodney and cut your choice of Volstad or Jackson. Your league is way too shallow for both of those guys, and even though they have upside, if you need saves now, both are worthwhile drops.

I have a post on Fernando Rodney at my blog, which breaks down his entire skill set to show you what he can contribute to your fantasy roster. Feel free to take a look.

I am second in the league in K's and third in saves. I guess my question is will the move help my team at all, or just flip flop the two stats if I dropped a SP for morrow instead of fuentes.

Jackson for Morrow is a solid choice.
