Took over this team bout 2 weeks ago and made quite a few moves in the past couple days pulling some buy low deals to land some struggling vets... Any Moves you think i should make right off the bat? I have listed the available below and you think i should make?
Bats: Jim Thome, Chris Iannetta, Delmon Young, Ramon Hernandez, Hideki Matsui, Yadier Molina (on waivers), Eric Byrnes, Chris Snyder, John Buck, Brett Gardner, Mike Fontenot, Joe Crede, Jose Guillen, Sheffield, Billy Butler, Juan Pierre Arms:Chien-Ming Wang, Kevin Millwood, Jason Motte, Zach Duke, Edwin Jackson, John Smoltz, David Aardsma, Brad Penny, Miguel Batista, David Patton, Joe Martinez, Jamie Moyer, Ben Sheets, Takashi Saito, Ian Snell, Bartolo Colon, Chris Perez
Your outfield is extremely weak. Roster Fontenot and move DeRosa to the outfield, replacing Rowand. Out of those batters, the only other one I would pick up would be Thome, and replace Luis Castillo in your lineup. Zach Duke is a worthwhile speculative starting pitcher pickup...cut Leo Nunez and get this guy. He could break out if he keeps up the skills he has posted to date.

ok yes i understand my OF is 'weak' but thats solely because i have netted 3 potential top 5 2B, the 2 best 3B in the league and a top 3 SS... and how do you justify saying my OF is weak, but in the same breath saying to add Fontenot who is batting .209 with 1 dinger and 4 rbi? i think after seeing a couple of your posts so far you need to put a little more thought into your replies instead of just trying to get the link to your website on here...
Fontenot has a stellar power skill and a great batting eye. On the balance of season, this guy has the chance to hit 20 home runs and bat .285. What is your league format? Are you head to head or rotisserie?

ok understandable, but LOOK at the roster, why would i add yet another 2B? i already have 5 eligible at 2B (pedroia, phillips, uggla, derosa, castillo)... there would be no point in adding another one to my roster... oh and do you read the whole thread before you post? because all of the information you just asked for was posted at the very top of the thread, its a 13 team ROTO league...
I like your team. The league setup dictates depth but I still think I would look to consolidate some of that for a few more studs (top 50 types) and round it out with a couple of WW guys who don't look like they belong there.
Your IF is outstanding (especially with all those positions to fill). I would look to trade one of Uggla or Phillips for an upgrade in the OF. There are bound to be teams that are willing to pay for them even if they are off to a slow start.
Once any of these guys heat up I would look to sell: Berkman, Zambrano, and Liriano
Hitters I think should be rostered: Jim Thome, Chris Iannetta, Delmon Young, Hideki Matsui, Billy Butler
Pitchers are a little more slip pickins but I wouldn't mind taking a shot on Smoltz.
I don't appreciate you continuing to insult me—I am only trying to help you out. The reason why you would roster Fontenot (another second baseman) is because his end of season statistical line will be better than some of the outfielders you have there, also Castillo. Since DeRosa has multiple position eligibility and you have a stunning four utility spots, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't want to roster the best statistical line you can.
