Morneau, Dukes
for
Roberts, Loney and JD Drew

Its a 12 team keeper league. We are allowed 5 keepers each year. Here is my roster.

C: McCann
1b: Huff
2b: Roberts
SS: Hanley
3b: Lowell
OF: Markakis
OF: Carlos Lee
OF: Adam Jones
Util: Werth
Bench: JD Drew, Ian Stewart, Orlando Hudson, James Loney

Pitching: Billingsley, Peavy, Josh Johnson, Bedard, Kershaw, Verlander, Hanson, Francisco, Bell

If I do make this deal id pick up Freddy Sanchez off waivers and id have a platoon of Stewart, Hudson and Sanchez at 2b which I think is very solid. Stewart also has alot of position versatility.

Should I make this deal?

this one is tough. i have never played in keeper leagues so i maybe giving you the wrong advise here. ok my thought with that warning being said are...

Roberts is a stud that will help you in all the catagories........

Morneu is a stud that can give you serious power.

Dukes can be dangerous as well. He seems to be on a mission right now.

If stewart starts playing everyday does he give you 2nd base eligibilty> He is suppose to be the real deal.

If Stewart replaces Roberts then i say its a go.

Loney and JD suck so dont worry about them!

i agree with this to a point... Loney doesn't suck he may not have morneau power but i would rather have the duo of Roberts/Loney over Morneau... im not a huge Dukes fan as he has real hot streaks but also real deep slow streaks also... i think i would stand pat unless he upgrades Dukes...

help me out...

I would hold onto what you have. Roberts is still a rock-solid second baseman, and Loney has some keeper potential. Dukes is an intriguing speculation long-term, but he cannot help you out this year. This is a fair offer, but I prefer your side of the trade. No deal.
