Trade.... WHIR

Postby steela2110 » Fri Apr 24, 2009 1:32 pm

I am getting: Ryan Zimmerman 3B WSH & Ubaldo Jimenez SP COL

Giving up: Adrian Beltre 3B SEA & Francisco Cordero RP CIN

I don't see Cordero keeping this up.... He has a high WHIP and seems to always put people on base in the 9th.... I also think Beltre is terrible and that Jimenez may figure his stuff out!

WHIR just leave link!

Well i think you would be getting a small upgrade at 3rd. I think Beltre will come around. I have Jimenez, he had a great first game. The last two have been crap. He has great stuff, but expect a crazy bad whip.

Who are your other closers?

Well your closers are pretty good. Jenks and Cordero would be nice to keep IMO. But you can also find other closers on the waivers when one goes done.

My OF's:
Beltran
Pence
Nelson Cruz
Hermida
Rasmus
J. Upton

Dye would most likely fill one of my Utl spots.

Sounds like a good trade for you. You can afford to give up Cordero and hopefully Ubaldo will pick up after those 2 bad outings.

I also like this deal for you. Beltre and Zimmerman are a wash. I'd take Jimenez over Cordero.

Help if you can?

Thanks for help with mine. I like this trade for you. I don't trust Cordero and like your depth at closer. Plus Zimmerman is an upgrade to Beltre (maybe not alot but still and upgrade).

Considering your amount of RPs, this is probably a good deal for you. Personally I am not a fan of Ubaldo. I have been living in Denver for the past few years, and he shows glimpses of dominating stuff, then tends to get absolutely rocked. If you think he has everything under control and is going to have a good year, then go for it. Remember, Rockies pitchers pitch in Coors field too...

Hahahaha good point with Coors.... I am one too who happens to think Zimmerman is going to have a substantially better year than Beltre.... For some reason I think Beltre's should is going to sideline him upcoming here if he continues to struggle..

At the same time though, Zimmerman has been extremely injury prone as well
