Dynasty Triple Sport Trade...Gallardo Key Piece. WHIR!!

Dynasty 8 team League (keep players forever). We have extra bench spots to make up for the shallowness of the league. Free Agency is thinner then you'd think.

It's a Triple Sport League and baseball is the final sport for the overall championship. So far me and one other guy have met in every championship game and only 1 overall standing point separates us.

I WANT THE TROPHY!!!

here's the offer: (rookies are protected for 3 years and after that time you can choose one guy to "franchise" and the others you must either cut or put on your active roster)

I give: Buster Posey, Matt Gamel, and my 1.7 NFL rookie draft pick

I get: Yovani Gallardo

My team is listed in my signature...Giving up to much for a run at this years title? (we get a huge trophy & $140 for winning it)

I would make this trade. The goal of keeper leagues is to win NOW and build for the future. Your team is already pretty good where you can compete without those 2 pitchers and the NFL draft class doesn't look to impressive by the time you'd be picking 7th. I would try to get someone maybe a little better then Gallardo but I would make this trade if I couldn't get anyone else. And besides you want the trophy NOW.

I don't know a whole lot about dynasty, especially 3 sport... sounds fun though. Also I'm not sure I understand which nfl rookie draft pick u give up (1.7) is that 1st rd. and 7th rd.? All that being said though, I say Gallardo is a fantastic pitcher and at 23 looks to be a valuable piece to your team for years to come. I'd say go for it. Thnx for the help on mine.

p.s. I get it 1st rd 7th pick. duh!

I do like Gallardo and I think you have enough young talent to withstand the loss. I never like giving up a first round pick, but I guess that depends how many you keep in the NFL league.

I'd probably do this deal and take home the trophy!

Thanks for the help!

Bump...and if anyone is interested in learning about a 3 sport dynasty league let me know. I'll share the insights about it.

I'd do the deal. I like Gallardo enough and it's not like Gamel and Posey are monumental players; Posey seems to be a decent hitting, very good defense catcher; from what I've read he's no Wieters

i'd be lying if i told you i was familiar with this type of league, but it seems to me that you are trading away future in the nfl side of things (it's only a rookie selection, though) ann increasing your chances of winning now. Gallardo could be the peice you need to provide you another chamoionship...seems to make sense to me, but i must admit this format is a bit over my head, good luck! thanks for the help!

A one sport dynasty I can do...three though? Might have to try that someday. As for this deal, I would do it. Helps you win now and the NFL Class of 09 isn't that strong imo.

I would do this deal. Gallardo is a good young SP and what you're giving up isn't anything crazy.
