Trade: Uggla for Chamberlain

Postby ccsammy21 » Fri Apr 24, 2009 12:35 pm

5x5 standard roto league

Someone offered me Joba Chamberlain for Dan Uggla. My pitching is REALLY hurting right now, but I think they'll be able to turn it around eventually, especially once Webb and Kuroda come off DL. I was also thinking about countering this trade by adding in Derosa or Figgins to fill in my 2B. Here is my team:

C- Saltalamaccia
1B- Fielder
2B- Uggla
3B- Miguel Cabrera
SS- Tulowitzki
OF- Kemp
OF- Ellsbury
OF- Werth
Util- Adam Jones
B- M. Bradley
B- J. Loney
DL- Doumit

P- Liriano
P- C. Lee
RP- Gregg
RP- F. Cordero
P- Zambrano
P- Davies
P- Lohse
B- Maine
B- Webb (DL)
B- Kuroda (DL)

Absolutely, I would do that deal. This is a great time to buy low on Chamberlain, as he has the skill set similar to Liriano. Even with the launching pad that is Yankee stadium, you gotta take that one in a heartbeat. Look for a solid 2B waiver wire pickup, if you need to solidify that position.

good trade. you won't miss his power too much, and you certainly won't miss his average :-B

when webb comes back you'll have an excellent rotation and will be in a great trade position. if you can land figgins to replace uggla i think it's a case of grand theft roto, though you hardly need the steals either haha ;-D
