My staff is pretty sick right now, so is it worth trading the consistant Shields for the struggling Hamels who has the bigger upside?

No, I wouldn't do it. Pitching is too inconsistent from year to year.

we start 8, any combo of starters and closers...by the way, this is a 12 team h2h points league.
My staff is -
Halladay, Haren, Shields, Gallardo, Broxton, Morrow, Slowey, Baker, Maholm, Masterson, Anibal Sanchez, and Porcello.
Scoring for Pitching Categories
BBI - Walks Issued (Pitchers) -.5 points
CG - Complete Games 10 points
ER - Earned Runs -1 point
HA - Hits Allowed -.5 points
HB - Hit Batsmen -.5 points
INN - Innings 2 points
K - Strikeouts (Pitcher) 1 point
NH - No-Hitters 10 points
S - Saves 10 points
W - Wins 10 points
