Pitching strategy

Postby uncommonb » Thu Apr 23, 2009 9:47 pm

FYI, This is loaded post:

I am new to fantasy baseball (10 team H2H) and am just now sure how available all my pitchers should be to me at all times. Also, im not sure how to evaluate how badly the twins pitching is. Combined with some DL playes I have and some minor league prospects I just need advice in general/specific players. Also, if there are any players that are probably on FA and Im not looking or someone I shoudl trade for, lemme know. Also, yahoo is telling me that a ton of people are dumping Baker and Romero. I can understand Baker but isn't dumping romero and little bit shortsighted? Pease help

SP - James Shields , Francisco Liriano , Félix Hernández , Brett Myers
RP - Jonathan Papelbon, Carlos Mármol , Dallas Braden
P - Chris Young, Aaron Harang, Scott Baker, Tim Wakefield
DL - , Ricky Romero, Kelvim Escobar
BN - David Price, Jordan Zimmermann

Available pitchers that are currently FA that I am looking at are:

RP:

Andrew Bailey
Jason Frasor
Todd Coffey
Latroy Hawkins
Ross Ohlendorf

SP:

Phil Hughes
Justin Masterson
Mike Hampton
Zack Duke

None of those free agents look that enticing. And good call on not following all the sheep on yahoo. ;-D
