CHICAGO'S CARLOS QUENTIN LEFT THE GAME IN THE TOP OF THE EIGHTH INNING AFTER BEING HIT BY A PITCH ON HIS LEFT HAND.

Just saw it on the box score. Not watching the game so I don't know what's up. Anyone with updates post here.

His wrist injury last year was on his right wrist, so at least we don't have to worry about that.

I just dealt for him and haren in my money league, and 5 days after i get him he gets hit in the hand.... this better be just a bruise!

This was one of my concerns about Quentin going into the season (I did think he was going to mash this year). He stands on top of the plate practically with his elbow in the K zone (okay I exaggerate). And he loves getting hit by pitches. Hopefully he doesn't get injured one of these times.

I'm fairly sure he hurt his wrist slamming a bat against the ground (or wall) and that's what messed up his wrist...but I do agree that he needs to body armor his a$$ up.

He and Utley essentially hold their bats on top of the plate...looks like Utley can get out of the way quicker.
