BLOCKBUSTER DEAL...4 TOP 20 PLAYERS

Postby sportsnut307 » Thu Apr 23, 2009 2:05 pm

I'm offered Beltran and D. Wright, but i have to give up Berkman and Peavy? :-?
What should I do? My outfield needs help but I lose the anchor to my staff...is it worth it?

WOW! I'd do it ! I actually have Berkman at 24 and Peavy at 45. Beltran at 18 and Wright at 3. You may be losing your anchor, but keep in mind Hitting for Pitching is always a good trade. Plus 33% of starting pitchers were on the DL last year. Not to mention you can always pick up good SPs off the waiver wire all year.

Also,

Pick up Fowler and drop Luke Scott ;-D
I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!

I'd do it and not even think twice about it. I'm still worried about Peavy this year, being on the Padres and pitching in the WBC

you guys don't think my pitching staff will turn to trash with the loss of peavy? I'd be left with alot of iffy guys (harang, volquez, bedard, floyd, baker...pretty much every starter i have outside of the peavster)

First thing I would do is drop Scott Baker's diabolical twin and pick up Buccholz.

All joking aside, do this trade now. Pitching is such a crapshoot, that even Peavy isnt a guarantee. You do have a lot of questionable pitchers I guess, but the odds on all or even most of them falling flat are in your favor. Take good hitting over good pitching every day of the week.

Break it down. Would you take Beltran over Berkman? I probably would, but for some I guess it might be a close call.

Would you take Wright over Peavy? Man, this is a dream swap.
