First Post....Trade Question..Oswalt/Davis for Shields/Damon

Postby Hunter11 » Thu Apr 23, 2009 10:52 am

Alright my fantasy colleagues I have a trade question for you all. What do people think of me giving up Oswalt, Davis and Snider for Shields and Damon?

My league is a 12 Team Keeper League. 5X5 Head to Head.

I have ARod for 3B and Konerko and Howard at 1B, so I have little use for Davis at this point, and I was going to drop Snider when ARod comes off the DL. I also have Lackey coming off the DL soon, and I am getting a little sketchy on Oswalt given his pitching so far (and in the WBC) and could use a more reliable pitcher like Shields since I have Liriano and Baker sucking right now.

I also just traded DeRosa (who was in my OF) for Cain for I could use another solid OF to go along with Beltran and Cruz.

Thanks in advance...

hey, welcoem to the cafe.

it'd help if we could see the entire roster. also, what are the parameters for keeping players? shields is the better keeper over oswalt. snider and davis are also the better keepers... damon is good but he's getting on in age.

if you're looking to unload those three players, then try not to discount snider too much, even though you were going to drop him. but i'm a stickler for equal trades

it's not a bad trade, but it's not a stunner and i htink you could get more value for what your'e giving up ;-)
