Matt Wieters is a free agent --- WHIR

Postby krunchyfrogg » Thu Apr 23, 2009 10:13 am

Should I pick him up? If so, who do I drop?

I'm in a 5x5 H2H league with a limited number of pickups per season. There is only 1 catcher position in this league, and I've got a pretty darn goodone already.

If I pick up Wieters, he will be taking up a valuable spot on my bench, and it will only be for a future trade.

I'm unwilling to drop any RP as I rotate my starters and try to win Saves and the WHIP/ERA cats with some good closers.

Team in sig.
Looking forward to back to back championships in 2011!

I wouldn't pick him up. With limited number of moves and a solid C already your are just hurting yourself. If this was a keeper league then I would, but not a H2H.

I wouldn't pick him up because of the limited number of moves that you're allowed to make and because V-Mart is raking so far this season. However, if you really want him for trade bait in the future, I would drop Figgins because I think (and always have thought) that he's completely useless and extremely overrated. Thanks for your help with mine.

I would grab him, stash him (I did and have McCann) and would drop Wheeler. I'm not sure how much he is going to get you this year.
