I'm in a 5x5 Roto, 10 team mixed league, salary cap $290, using Baseball Weekly's values as our salaries. We have submitted a protected list from the previous year's rosters, and must submit 5 keepers by Sunday.

My Protected List:
$20 Sexson
$12 Vazquez (acquired in a swap for 1st RD picks and Ensberg, $5)
$10 M. Giles
$4 Borowski
$1 Harden
$1 Loaiza
$24 Zito
$20 H. Matsui
$8 Gibbons
$7 Meche


My 5 keepers:
$20 Sexson
$8 Gibbons
$12 Vazquez
$4 Borowski
$1 Harden


What do you think of my keepers?

I don't think Loaiza will have close to as good a year as he did last year, but I'd still really want to keep him for $1.

The 5 you've selected seem very good at those prices.

I'd be tempted to keep Loaiza over Harden or Gibbons. Harden has more upside, but Loaiza will probably put up better numbers this year.

I don't want to have so many pitchers at the offset, and Loaiza is only going for aobut $13-$14 more in drafts I have seen, but Gibbons is going for 3-4x what I am keeping him for. ANd I think Gibbons will earn more than Loaiza will. I appreciate the input.

Personally, I think you would be making a huge mistake not keeping M. Giles at that price.
