Struggling out of the gate. Wait it out or blow it up? WHIR

Okay, so I'm currently in 6th place out of 12 in my 5X5 roto league with big rosters (starting MI, CI, 5 OF, 2 C). I was in 11th until a few days ago, when I finally started to get some quality starts. I'm in good shape with R, HR and SB. Middle of the pack in Ks and RBI. Mediocre in W, WHIP and ERA. SV and especially AVG are killing me.

As for the saves, I've got Mariano and Gonzalez, and the Braves aren't giving Gonzo a chance to save anything. My league is very active, and basically everybody who has a decent shot at closing soon (Downs, Soriano, Marmol, etc.) is owned. So I might have to pay for saves, which I hate doing. What do you think?

Now AVG is what's got me worried. I can't decide if I need to make a trade to shore it up or not. I was never going to win AVG with my team, but I'm currently second to last. Of course, Phillips, Beltre, Ianetta and Matsui aren't going to keep hitting sub-.200 forever. When they turn it around, will it be enough to keep me competitive in the category? If I need to make a trade, who should I move and who should I target?

I'll help you out to the best of my abilities. Please leave a link.

I like your team- It's still really early.

If its a 12-team league (and 30 mlb teams) that means there are enough closers for 6 of the teams to have 3 closers and the other 6 (you) to have 2 closers. Considering that there are a bunch of closers that suck, having mo and gonzo really isn't that bad. Gonzo has been fine just no save opps yet (Soriano has leeched a couple for different reasons but i wouldn't be too worried unless he starts to have some rough goings). Tons of random guys will become closer over the course of the season so it shouldnt be impossible to snag a guy or 2 from waivers to get that third closer, patience might pay off.

Trading for BA is probably tough; because you start so many guys its probably hard to affect any individual category.

And
Most importantly
LETS GO RANGERS!!!!
