His Nathan for my Mauer?

Postby Therobsclub » Wed Apr 22, 2009 10:18 pm

I only have 2 closers. Heath Bell and Manuel Corpas.

The Catcher I have in currently is Mike Napoli. Looking to pick up Doumit since he was just put on the Waivers today.

I think I should do the deal. Only thing Average Joe is good for is Average.

Doumit is out 8-10 weeks.

I would stick with Mauer.

I would have to say yes even though Napoli is still just sharing time at the plate he still can give you 20 or more homers.

What is your league format? In any case, I would most likely pull the trigger on this one. Nathan is an elite closer; Mauer is a good hitter, but the difference between him and Napoli is not likely to be as great as indicated by their respective draft positions. And Napoli should get at least a few more DH at bats with Vlad being out.

League format is:

HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP, Cycle, Slam

Wins, CG, Saves, ERA, WHIP, No Hitter

Should I do this?

I'd do it. Nathan is solid and Mauer hits for avg, but whatever.
