Best Bet FA SP Porcello or Davies?

Postby raysfan4life » Wed Apr 22, 2009 6:17 pm

I'd like to add one of these two, if you think either of them are worth adding and keeping. My gut is telling me Davies, but Porcello is apparently a thoroughbred. This isn't a huge deal, but I'd like to jump on one of them if we think either can be like Volquez last year.

If not one of these two, any other super sleeper young SPs to look at?

FYI - standard 5X5 head to head, already have elite SP, just wondering if there is a diamond in the rough in either of these two.

I think Porcello has the highest upside. I just cant believe in Davies yet and he has been around for a little while now. Porcello has really good stuff and the tigers are better so he should get more shots at wins. Hope this helps

For teh same reasons as above, I think you should get Davies. You know he will be in the rotation, and for-the-most-part, you know what you're getting. Porcello may not stay around.
Thanks for helping me.

Davies for me. His strong finish of last year makes me believe that he could be ready to have a productive year. He was a pretty highly touted prospect as well when he came up with the Braves so it's not like he's coming out of nowhere.

I agree with this. But they are close in value.

They're probably pretty close. I took a flyer on Davies, and You just have to know with both, you'll get some gems, but you'll for sure get some BLOW UP games. Davies may have finally put it together after being so highly touted for so long...

Help please!!
