Which is a better deal for me given my team's needs?

Deal A.) I give Peavy and Hermida, I get Beltran and Oliver Perez
Deal B.) I give Peavy and Lind, I get Soriano and Slowey

with Beltran, I get more RBI and BB and SB (arguably) -- I give up Hermida (like him less than Lind), but get Perez
with Soriano, I get more HR and R -- I give up Lind, but get Slowey (like him more than Perez)

I like Slowey a lot this year, and much more so than Cueto, so while I like Beltran slightly more than Soriano, I'd go with the Soriano and Slowey Package. It's a very nice deal for you btw.

BTW. Beltran's hammy is bothering him, so you might see a decrease in his steals, which would make Soriano more valuable anyway... though beltran is a sure thing to see over 155 games... who knows with Soriano?
