For most people it's between Mo and Paps, but Paps is 11 or 12 years younger.
Wait K-Rod play's on the Mets right? I didn't know they where considered "great". Whens the last time they won their division? Or even made the playoffs?
Silly Braves fan...
Yea, that's it. I'm a Braves fan is the reason I don't consider the Mets "great".

this is my first year in baseball so i dont get al ot of stuff. whos mo?
and so RP rankings are based on potential for saves? and great teams with great closers make the closer move up in rankings since they win so much...is this right?
counterintuitive to me, if a good closer is on a great team, chances are the team will be way ahead of the other team usually and since saves require you to be within 2 points, doesnt that limit a great closer?

Most of their value is tied up in saves, but era, whip, and K/9 are also significant factors. Someone with 35 saves, 2.35era, 1.10whip, 9K/9 will be ranked higher than someone with 45 saves, 4.40era, 1.29whip, 7.5K/9.
