Nathan might be #1 if he played on a better team, K-Rod might be #1 if he played on a better team as well. But Papelbon plays on one of the top 3 teams in baseball and is one of the top RP. It's really not much of a argument IMO.

K-Rod plays on a great team, but his weakness is his BB rates.
For most people it's between Mo and Paps, but Paps is 11 or 12 years younger.

Wait K-Rod play's on the Mets right? I didn't know they where considered "great". Whens the last time they won their division? Or even made the playoffs?

Braves fan. Remember how their bullpen killed them the last two years, and was considered their biggest weakness? Well, now it's a source of strength for them. Their Pythagorean record was 92-70 last year and any team above 90 wins I consider "great".

I've argued Nathan in the past, but I have no argument with Paps. Despite the fact that he might not have been the top rated closer last year, he still has a great chance to end any given year at the top.
RP is volatile enough that you have to weigh potential and situation very heavily into your rankings...
