Cruz/Davis for BJ Upton/Encarnacion WHIR

Trying to sell high on cruz... i think hes good but strike while the iron is hot. Am i giving up too much or not enough to pull off this trade? Encarnacion will just be a filler till aroids gets back

I wouldn't do that. I think Cruz is legit and ends up with more value than Upton. Davis will be a stud too, just be patient. Encarnacion is too streaky and not as valuable as Davis(not that Davis isn't). You can do better.

I can see why you're trying to move Davis, since he'll get bumped out by A-Rod, but you're giving up way too much. I don't think Cruz is near Upton's level yet, but Davis is a legit 30 homer guy already (look at his HR per AB last year) and you can get a lot more for him elsewhere.

My advice is to try and move Big Papi while he still has any value and plug Davis in at the utility spot. Ortiz is falling and falling fast, but he still has the name recognition to net some pretty good players. Give it a shot.
