just trade David Ortiz and Josh Beckett for Jermaine Dye and Jake Peavey. Which side is better?

I think the side getting Dye and Peavy has the edge. Peavy and Beckett should both have high K totals, nice ERAs and a decent amount of wins. Peavy will likely have slightly better stats but nothing earth shattering. When it comes down to it, the Dye vs Ortiz debate, in my eyes, hinged on health and position eligibility. In my league Ortiz only qualifies at the Util position, which reduces his value IMO. Also, I am concerned with his health and/or regression in skill because he has not looked like himself for quite some time. It could be nothing, but it has raised red flags in my mind. In the end, I say the pitching is just about a push, and Dye is capable of putting up nice numbers despite being on the down hill side of his career.
Care to lend a hand in return?
