Im in an NL Ultra league and one of the other league owners has already contacted me about a dump trade and I am having some trouble figuring out how to match up a fair offer. The league is an 11-team league 5x5, $300 salary cap with the following positions: C, C, 1B, 3B, CI, 2B, SS, MI, OF, OF, OF, OF, OF, U, U U, 11 P
Here are my players he is interested in with their contracts: Elijah Dukes: 8, 13, 13 Bill Hall, 9, 9, 9 Fowler, 10, 10
He has made the following players available: Adrian Gonzalez: 21 Kevin Kouzmanoff: 16 Jimmy Rollins: 38 Kyle Lohse: 2 Cole Hamels: 35, 35, 35 F-Rod: 26, 26, 26
I have a pretty good team and have a chance to win it all so I'm thinking of going all-in. I have plenty of cap room, so this years salary's are irrelevant. Unfortunatley, I'm hesitant to trade Dukes without getting a ransom since he is signed so cheaply for several years.
Does anyone have any ideas to what would be a good offer for me to propse without insulting him?
You should post rosters.... I have no experience in salary leagues...but....I'd certainly like a-gonz, and f-rod at those numbers, relatively speaking. I'm sure he wants dukes for the same reasons you're loathe to give him up.
oh good point, here is my current roster: C: Chris Snyder C: Ronny Paulino 1B: Albert Pujols 3B: David Wright CI: Bill Hall SS: Miguel Tejada 2B: Blake Dewitt MI: Eric Bruntlett OF: Elijah Dukes OF: Dexter Fowler: OF: Jeremy Hermidia OF: Josh Willingham OF: Kosuke Fukudome U: Jordan Schafer U: Fernando Tatis U: Omar Infante P: Yovani Gallardo P: Rich Harden P: Javier Vasquez P: Hiroki Kuroda P: Brad Lidge P: Mike Gonzalez P: JJ Putz P: Cla Meredith P: Peter Moylan P: Corey Wade P: Mike Defelice
Since its such a deep league, we dont have much of a bench, mostly minor leaguers. I do have Andrew McCutheon to come up later this year
that is a legit question, we have a deep reserve (12 each team) and all of the top prospects and all of the other starters have been drafted. The waiver wire only has other random MRP's on it.
