Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks left Tuesday's game against the Phillies complaining of dizziness after he was clipped by shortstop J.J. Hardy on a funky play near second base.
It appeared that Weeks was hit in the jaw by Hardy's shoulder as both players converged on Chase Utley's first-inning infield single. Hardy ranged past first base and scooped up the baseball as Weeks moved in the opposite direction, and both players tumbled to the dirt.
Weeks finished the inning -- Philadelphia batted around against Brewers starter Manny Parra and scored four runs -- but was replaced in the bottom of the second inning by Casey McGehee. It's been a tough week for Weeks, who was struck on the left side of his jaw last week by a fastball from Reds right-hander Edinson Volquez.
Anyone see the play or hear anything more? Hopefully this isn't a concussion. Weeks actually had a respectable BA going so far.
