Sizemore Deal (Keeper) *WHIR

Postby moochieh » Tue Apr 21, 2009 8:41 pm

Hey guys, this is in a 10 team H2H league with normal 5x5 stats plus Total Bases and Quality Starts. This keeper league allows you to keep 12 players each year with no restrictions. I was offered a trade of:

I get: Grady Sizemore and Edinson Volquez
I give: Jay Bruce, Scott Kazmir, and Erik Bedard

He says that he would have accepted Upton instead of Bruce if he was producing right now so he seems to really want this trade. I may want to see if I can get Lester instead of Volquez or push to finish the deal with Upton instead of Bruce. What are your opinions on this trade and what should I do? Thanks!

C- Mike Napoli
1B- Ryan Howard
2B- Ian Kinsler
SS- Troy Tulowitzki
3B- Chipper Jones
OF- Josh Hamilton
OF- Nick Markakis
OF- Jay Bruce
UTIL- Emilio Bonifacio
Bench- Justin Upton

Pitchers:
Cole Hamels
Scott Kazmir
Matt Cain
Zack Greinke
Aaron Harang
Scott Baker
Max Scherzer
Erik Bedard
Matt Capps
Huston Street
Fernando Rodney
Kevin Gregg
DL- Chris Carpenter

Yeah, I pull the trigger. That seems pretty easy to me, considering your SP looks good.

I'd call the deal as posted above pretty fair, and would likely do it. But, with upton instead of bruce, it'd be an easier decision.

help with mine?

Upton is better then Bruce in a keeper imo. Bruce doesn't have 40-20 potential.

I like the deal for you even with Bruce. Upton will be a fine keeper himself. Sizemore is a power/speed guy and a top 10 keeper. Take the deal either way.
