Hate that rule. If someone wanted to invest in Shef this year (before he signed), or Sheets, or Bonds the last couple, then they should be allowed to. ESPECIALLY in a keeper or dynasty style leagues. It would be ridiculous to tell me I lose a player like Sheets because he is a free agent. Whats your cut off. Is someone who is unsigned at the start of camp not allowed to be kept/drafted?
That said, they need to take the roster spot hit since the player isnt actually on the DL.
That said, minors should stick to whatever your constitution is. I know in my league there are a couple players being illegally kept, and the moment I want one of them Ill call the guy on it.
