Stephen Strasbourg's rights - what are they worth? WHIR

20 team, dynasty, H2H standard stats:

C-B. Molina
1B-Fielder
2B-K. Johnson
3B-Wright
SS-Drew
OF-BJ Upton, Carlos Lee, Ellsbury
U-Morneau, Thome

SP-C Zambrano, Webb, F Hernandez, Lincecum, Billingsley, Floyd, Cueto, Kershaw, Happ
RP-Sherrill, F. Cordero, Marmol

I have the #1 waiver priority, and plan to use it to select Strasbourg when he is added to the CBS system in June. The #2 waiver team wants my priority (to choose Strasbourg), and I'm considering the following deal:
Upton/Sherrill/Strasbourg for Rios/M. Rivera.

I'm getting sick of Upton's injury problems, several nagging problems with several different body parts (shoulder, hand and quad just this year. Foot and hamstring issues previously). Saves is my one weak category, and I think I have a championship contender without Strasbourg, I have a great young pitching staff as it is, and I can use him to make a deal the other guy wouldn't ordinarily make. My big sticking point is the gap between Rios and Upton. Good deal?

Leave a link and I'll help with yours.

I wouldn't. I much prefer B.J. and I think you could get more for Strasbourg.

You are giving up the most in that deal. I like Upton more than Rios and in a Dynasty I would take Strasburg over Rivera. In that deep of a league, I would hang on to Strasburg. He should be playing full time by 2011 and at that point his value will be a lot higher than it is now.

I dont know about Strasbourg so I can't comment. BJ Upton is a great talent. Itd be hard to give up on his ability just because you are tiring of his injuries. If he is healthy the rest of his career that would hurt.
