I hate to be that guy... but if that's the case I'd suggest finding a more competitive league because that's pretty absurd.
i just used mine 2 days ago for Wandy Rodriguez, someone dropped him and im not sure why, hes off to a good start. I hope it pays off?? im sure some of u are thinking he wasnt worth it but my sp has been terrible so i had to take the chance. im sure someone had a claim on him, my league is with friends and co-workers and its pretty active.
my starters have been terrible....Edinson, Liriano, Dempster, David Price, Max, Jerod Weaver, Davies, and Zimmerman so lets hope Rodriguez keeps it going and Price gets called up soon.
I had speculated that this could be a breakout year for Rodriguez, and his first few starts have certainly been encouraging. Thus far, he has been doing a much better job of getting ground outs when he needs them, which could translate to continued success.
I burned my #3 on Todd Helton after his monster Spring, but I've since dropped him. When Furcal and Wieters were dropped on the same day, I regretted that decision. But I agree with the poster who said it's devalued this year. Most of the prospects are in the database already, so it's mainly to cleanup tremendous idiocy from your opponents. I'd say to use it on the first guy who can help your team. You won't get too many chances, so if you see someone you like, go for it. Just don't get it wrong like I did.
