i generally opt to use the #1 waiver on the first player i think will help my team. i've spent an entire season waiting for someone worthy of burning the number one priority all the while passing up on middle tier guys that would have helped me. i'd rather take someone i think will help now than hope that an owner does something stupid later. who knows, you may end up back at #1 later in the year anyway.

I'm saving my #1 for someone good. Should I use it on Huff? I got Encarnacion now as my starting 3B.

I dont see how Huff can be on the waiver wire, there arent 9 better 3B then him

Wright, Cabrera, Longoria, Arod, Aramis, Youk. Those are the only guys that are clearly better then Huff.

Chipper, Davis, Atkins, Encarnacion, Cantu, Zimmerman, are all in the same category, but Huff is the most consistent to date, and his rbi potential is greater then any listed in this category imo

In the last 2 days I have picked up off the WW, Rios, B.Phillips, Meche, and C. Guillen, in several 12 team leagues, some with 11th or 12th picks.

I hate to be that guy... but if that's the case I'd suggest finding a more competitive league because that's pretty absurd.
