After a recent 2 for 1 trade I have an extra roster spot. Which free agent should I consider?
Elvis Andrus: Leaning towards him though I all ready have three Rangers
Brandon Wood: Second Option. Mostly thinking a backup SS is all I'm missing besides a C and I usually don't bother with a backup catcher.
Span/Snider/LaRoche. Considering.
Thanks.

Brandon Wood I believe is listed at multiple infield positions (3b, ss) and has had a great AAA start. THe A's just called him up and he will get every day ABs with Vladdy hurt.
I would go with Snider as well. I would love to see Wood finally do something in the majors but I have been waiting for that for years. I love seeing Andrus playing well but I just don't know if he can keep it up. Snider has been major league ready for a year or so which means he should be good to keep doing well, maybe not great but serviceable.

I love Snider and think he'll be a great hitter in the majors, but he's currently hitting 9th in the Jays lineup (and sitting occasionally against lefties). I wouldn't say he's been major league ready for a year, as last year at this time he was in High-A ball (then promoted to AA midway through the year, AAA in August and the majors shortly thereafter).
While he's hot, I'd probably go with Andrus. He'd definitely add some speed to your team and he's in a deep Texas lineup (though he, too, is hitting 9th).
Good luck!
