Ok I have been trying to get Justin Upton and Justin Verlander. I offered my Hariston, Lohse, Francisco and Hanrahan for his J. Upton, A. Cabrera and Verlander. He is desperate for saves and I thought I was giving up a little much. He declined saying he would have accepted but he needed a better outfield option in return while still getting the closers.
The best I could come up with is my Grady, Francisco and Hanrahan for his A. Gonzalez, J. Upton and Verlander. I love Grady for this season and so does the other owner(emailed me asking if I'd trade him for anyone on his team before the season). But I think AGonz will make up for the loss in runs, rbi's, HRs and post a slightly better average. And for steals I have 16 from my team not counting Grady and Josh Anderson on my bench who I think will be starting everyday by late June so steals should be ok. Verlander will help my rotation and Justin Upton may not be great this year but I want him for years to come(We kept 6 this past season, moving up to 12 after this year).
I know that was a bit to read but I just want to make sure my man crush on Upton isn't making me overpay by alot. And as always leave a link and I will help you out.

As a huge fan of Grady, I automatically thought no. But, you claim that you have the backups to make up for the steals youll be losing in Grady and Adrian is a monster. So, I think it's OK. Verlander and Upton are also a good buy low.
In a keeper league Sizemore is a top-5 player. If he isnt top-5 he is very close, but you get the idea. In a 20-man league guys that are at the very top are quite hard to come by. I also have Justin Upton on a few teams, and I think that he could be very good as early as next year. I am biased when it comes to Verlander, he has never impressed me that much. With his fastball one would expect lots of K's and while it has rebounded so far in 09' it is too early to judge with the small sample size. He seems to have troubles locating the fastball, and with his height and the flatness of his fastball he often leaves it up in the zone. The curve is good, but his ceiling is a #2 fantasy starter at best. It is time for people to re-evaluate him for what he really is. Adrian is very solid. One could only imagine what he could do if 1/2 his games weren't played in Petco. Clearly you are giving up the best player in this deal. You are also creating a huge void in YOUR own save situation - basically punting for it being a 20-man league. You are overpaying to get these players at this stage in the season, and you are also (unnecessarily)punting your saves. With the 20-team format(and HLD's cat) closers are impossible to get from FA, and are only available via trade. You could net a better package for the guys you want to trade, and you could get AGonz/Upton for cheaper. I would steer clear from Verlander.
You'll be killing yourself in SVs. However, that's not my main reason that I'm going to say no. If Justin Upton turns out to be everything we expect him to be, and he may not, he'll essentially be, if not very similar, to Grady Sizemore. Why trade Sizemore if Upton is a just a player who MIGHT turn out to be similar to Sizemore. I do like Gonzalez, but you have a young first basemen in Loney and I don't think Loney is done developing his skill set.
