Too many SPs... Need to make a deal. Ideas?!

Postby JRAT » Tue Apr 21, 2009 3:32 pm

Need some help to manufacture a deal to upgrade my 3B (CI) or my OF.
We have a 1600 inning max so there's no way I can use all my SPs and RPs to get maximum value. What I'm looking it at is packaging an OF and any one of my SPs for 1 Batting stud....
I'm targetting Wright, ManRam, Pujols or even Reyes. I can pick up an RP off WW to help with Saves as Morrow can take up an SP spot to help with my average closer situation.

I'm not tied to any of my pitchers except for maybe Peavy.
Aside from the bats I mentioned above, would anyone suggest another batter to target??

Hey there, I would look to improve 3rd base or your MI/CI positions. You have a ton of guys who steal bases in your outfield, I would look to deal either Ellsbury/Crawford/Victorino and get a power hitter back. Also, Garrett Atkins is going to be traded, his numbers away from Coors drop dramatically (batting average is 80 points lower,) so I would look to move him. I would deal any of your pitchers aside from Peavy, (always good to have 1 established ace that you can rely on.)

If you;re mnot trading Peavy, there is practically no chance you'll be able to land Pujols, Wright or Reyes (even if yuo did deal Peavy it's unlikely).

Manny is your best shot of the players you are targeting, but prepare to pay for him. Naturally it will depend on the other team's needs, but I think if you want to deral an SP, you'd have to make Gollardo available in a Manny deal.

Help?
